The Dungeon Masters Guild
Mission Statement/Operational Guidelines

Mission Statement

Our goal is to present and archive a variety of perspectives, gaming materials
and advice by and for dungeon masters. We will publish the best possible quality and range of creative materials, playing aids, concepts and opinions available.
We are dedicated to compiling and presenting all of the best AD&D information
and providing it freely to any and all Dungeon Masters.

The staff and I will present our own thoughts and materials as well as those from:

· Articles, stories, spells, races, classes and kits submitted by our fellow members.
· The posts from the members message board.
· The best submissions from interested visitors to the site.

We intend to stretch ourselves, to learn and grow, and as a consequence our methods may change. Keep an eye on the "What's New" page for changes as we learn and grow.
As this endeavor is an extension of the Dungeon Master’s Guild, we are dedicated to the following philosophy, put forth by members of the guild themselves:

"To be sincerely helpful to all and dedicated to the sharing of ideas and our own personal gaming creations.”

We will constantly seek out new ways to provide for the needs of both new and experienced DM's. Whether it comes to new editions, expansions or other gaming systems, we will be there recording, archiving, creating. We will collaborate with all who seek perspective, ideas, advice or a forum to share their own ideas.

Lastly, being creatures with healthy well rounded egos,
we submit the pages of this web site for our own appreciation and gratification.
For (after all) we wouldn’t even do this if not for our certain knowledge that we are filled to the brim with a terrific and valuable insight and that our creative juices would otherwise spill over to be wasted upon the floor in an unfulfilled existence.

We revel in our own ability to command the attention (even the obedience) of others, in a game designed to emulate real life in a totally unbelievable setting with fantastic stories of sword and sorcerer. We do this for love of our own spoken and written word as much as for any other reason.

At least we at the DMG do!

Sincerely,

Thrandorian and the staff of
the Dungeon Masters Guild Web Site

Category heads will have ultimate decision making within their subject, however the webmaster can choose to publish any material found worthy but not accepted by the relative category head as well.
